As much as the subject
matter, Jo-Anne's use of colour defines the rooms and scenes
she paints as happy places. It's a conscious choice, but
also something that arises spontaneously from her
nature.
Her paintings express a refreshing
sense of joy, a domestic liveliness and warmth in exuberant
colours and strong composition. "I basically paint what's
around me."
